FAQ
short answers.
The questions buyers ask most. Each answer links to the page with the details.
01General
Can users cash out their points?
No. Points have no cash value and there is no conversion, exchange rate or "cash out points" anywhere in the code; no console setting can add one. AdMob's rewards policy forbids money for ad views, and points are earned from ads. Tests fail if a points-to-cash path is added. See the hard rule.
Then where does the cash in the wallet come from?
Only from verified offerwall and survey payouts (in cash mode the user gets your chosen share of what the provider pays you), the referral commission on those, and cash you grant by hand, for example a contest prize. The wallet is off by default. See Cash mode.
Why is the wallet off on iOS?
Apple restricts incentivised installs and cash rewards: its App Review Guidelines limit apps that push users to download other apps (common in offerwall offers), forbid cryptocurrency for tasks such as downloading apps, and limit compensation tied to some actions. The wallet and the offerwalls therefore ship off on iOS (and on the web); Android is on. You can turn iOS on in the console after reading the guidelines for your case. See Why iOS is off.
Does approving a payout send the money?
No. There is an approval step: managers (or the owner) approve; only the owner sends PayPal requests with Send via PayPal; crypto, bank and gift cards are paid by hand and marked paid after approval. With the optional two-person rule (wallet.requireTwoPeople) the approver cannot also pay the same request. Auto-approve (off by default) skips the human approval for small unflagged requests, and those PayPal requests are sent at once. See Who can do what.
Do I need PayPal?
No. Every method is optional. Without PayPal Payouts API credentials you pay PayPal requests yourself and mark them paid. See Payout methods.
Does the app ever ask for my crypto private key or bank login?
No. Crypto and bank payouts are manual: you send from your own wallet or bank and record the transaction hash or reference. Nothing stores or asks for a private key, seed phrase or bank login.
Do I have legal obligations if I pay users?
Very likely. Depending on where you and your users are: identity checks (KYC), anti-money-laundering rules, tax, consumer law, PayPal's terms. These docs are not legal advice; consult a lawyer. See Your legal duties.
How do I make money with the app?
From the ads your users watch (paid to you by the ad networks), and optionally from offerwalls and surveys (in cash mode you keep the part of each payout you do not share), the VIP subscription, remove-ads, boosters, point packs, sponsored campaigns you sell and partner offers. How much depends on your traffic, countries, networks and policy compliance; these docs do not estimate income. See How the app can make money for you.
Does the console show how much I earned?
Only what was measured: store purchases with a price the store reported, offerwall and survey payouts, sponsor bookings you entered, and ad revenue once AdMob reporting is connected. Everything else says "not measured". Nothing is estimated. See Revenue centre.
I run the old Java version (2.x). How do I update?
4.0 is a new Flutter project, not a drop-in update: set it up as a new app. Coin balances are not migrated. Keep your Android application id and upload key to publish it as an update of your existing store listing. See Upgrade and migration.
Does it work on iOS?
Yes. The same Flutter project builds Android and iOS. You need a Mac with Xcode and the Apple Developer Program to publish. See Build for the App Store.
Can I publish the web version?
Only as a demo. The web target runs in demo mode with simulated ads; ad SDKs and store purchases do not run on the web.
Do I need a server?
Firebase is the backend (Blaze plan). The operator console needs a small Node 22 host. See Deploy options.
02Ads
Can I use several ad networks at the same time?
Yes. Either a waterfall the app runs itself (console → Mediation, an ordered list of networks per format), or one mediator SDK (AdMob or LevelPlay) whose own mediation you configure in that network's dashboard. See Mediation and placements.
Are Facebook Audience Network or AppLovin MAX supported?
No. This version supports three ad networks: AdMob, Unity Ads and ironSource LevelPlay.
Why do I see test ads?
AdMob is selected and no unit ids are entered, so the app uses Google's test units. Enter your own in console → AdMob units, and replace the test app ids in the manifest and plist. See Test ids.
Why does the app need a callback URL?
Points are credited only when the ad network's server confirms the view. That protects you from fake rewards. See Callback URLs.
Can offerwall and survey rewards be paid out?
In points mode (the default) they are points, like everything else. In cash mode they credit the cash wallet instead, as a share of the provider's payout, and users can cash that out. The provider pays you under its own terms. See Cash mode.
Can I offer gift cards in the rewards store?
No. The rewards store is bought with points, which come from ads, and AdMob's rewards policy forbids cash, gift cards and crypto as rewards. The console refuses such items. Gift cards exist only as a payout method of the cash wallet, paid from cash earned with offers and surveys. See Operator rewards and Gift-card catalog.
03Customising
Can I rename "points" to "coins"?
Yes. Console → Brand → Name of the points sets the word shown next to the balance on Home and read out with every points badge, without a new build. The app's other texts say "points" in its 9 languages; to rename it everywhere, also edit the ARB files of each language (Change a text). Keep the points notice: coins still have no cash value.
Which languages does the app speak?
Nine: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Turkish and Arabic (right-to-left). It follows the device language. To add one, copy app/lib/l10n/app_en.arb and translate it. See Languages.
Can I turn off the wheel or the quizzes?
Yes, every feature has a switch in console → Features. Each of the six 4.0 mini-games also has its own switch (Mini-games).
Can I change the colours and fonts?
The accent colour is in console → Brand. Everything else is in app/lib/core/design.dart. See Design and theming.
Where do I add quiz questions?
Console → Quizzes. Answers are stored where the app cannot read them.
04Data and accounts
Can users delete their account?
Yes, in Settings → Delete account. It removes their data and their sign-in account; the stores require it. Wallet and payout records are kept as money records; settle what you owe before removing them by hand.
Can I give a user cash by hand?
Yes, as the owner: console → Wallets → a user → Grant cash, with a reason. It is available at once and audited. Never grant cash for ad views, games or points. See Grants.
Can I give a user points by hand?
Yes, console → Users → a user → adjust points, with a mandatory reason. It is recorded in the ledger and the audit log and does not change leaderboards.
Are old users from version 2 migrated?
No. 4.0 has a new backend and data model, and coin balances stay in your old backend. See Upgrade and migration.
